We know that some of our cats, for whatever reasons, will never be adopted and will spend their lives at the shelter. We cherish these kitties and always want to be able to provide the best for them.
We promised them that they would never again have to worry about having enough food to eat, a warm bed in which to snuggle or a caring human to give them lots of love and to take care of their health.
And we realize that some of our supporters, for whatever reasons, may not be able to adopt one of our cats but would like to be able to help them out. That's why we have a sponsorship program.
Your
donations have allowed us to provide surgical services for “Gimpy”, rescued as
a kitten in Louisiana; she came to us with a disjointed leg. She has
undergone surgery at Hillsborough County Vet Clinic on January 31, 2007.
X-ray's determined that Gimpy had no elbow joint or ankle joint to correct
the arm with, so they proceeded to remove the whole leg. She is now
recuperating in a very large cage which gives her a limited mobility as Dr.
Schunk wants to keep her somewhat restricted until the muscles heal.
She is doing well so far and still is her very loving self. She is
learning to balance on three legs and we are sure the future holds a good
life for her.

Here are the details:
- $10 or $20 per month will sponsor a cat, depending upon their needs.
- We will update our sponsored cat pictures 2 to 3 times per year along with their continuing stories and anecdotes so that you can follow their life at the shelter.

- We will correspond with you by email and answer any questions you may have about your sponsored cat.
