We know that some of our cats, for whatever reasons, will never be adopted and will spend their lives at the shelter.   We cherish these kitties and always want to  be able to provide the best for them.  

We promised them that they would never again have to worry about having enough food to eat, a warm bed in which to snuggle or a caring human to give them lots of love and to  take care of their health. 

And we realize that some of our supporters, for whatever reasons, may not be able to adopt one of our cats but would like to be able to help them out.  That's why we have a sponsorship program.  

Bootstrap Bill Needs You!!

Bootstrap Bill was found with an injured leg in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.  The Shelter there couldn't afford to fix his leg so he was neutered and sent here.  Whenever he tried to walk on the ankle joint or when the leg was touched, it was painful to him.  Cold, wet weather seemed to bother his leg as well.  Our veterinarian's assessment was that over time, his leg would only have gotten worse unless the leg was amputated.  Thanks to your generous donations, we raised over $800.00 for his operation which will cost approximately $1,000.00.  We are happy to report that Bill recently underwent surgery to amputate his leg and is recovering nicely. He is feeling much better and back to his old playful self!

If you can continue to help us defray Bill's expenses by donating using our secure PayPal account, we would be very appreciative.  When donating, please mention Bootstrap Bill's name!

Here are the details:

• $10 or $20 per month will sponsor a cat, depending upon their needs.
• We will update our sponsored cat pictures 2 to 3 times per year along with their continuing stories and anecdotes so that you can follow their life at the shelter.

• We will correspond with you by email and answer any questions you may have about your sponsored cat.
