Peggy - female - 2 years
I've been here since June, 2009 |
I’m the mother of the cute Lowell kittens and I’m
still shy. A blind man
befriended me and my kittens and he was the ONLY person that could
get near me. Believe it
or not, I even sat in his lap. Ok, I’ll be truthful and tell you that if you decide to adopt
or foster me, you must have lots and lots of patience and it would
be a good idea to have a friendly cat in the house that will show me
how to behave around people. I’m not ready to be petted yet, but I’ll give you an update
in a couple of months or so to let you know how I’m doing.

Pepper - Female - 1 year
I've been here since December, 2010 |
Hi there my name is Pepper! I
have come such a long way from when I first arrived at the shelter
back in December. I love being petted and I may even let you pick me
up if you move slowly. I was abandoned at the shelter in a carrier
with my sister Salt. Who knows what happened to us to make us a bit
shy but with the consistent love and affection of the volunteers we
are well on our way to becoming friendly, socialized felines!

Quinn - female - 1 year
I've been here since July, 2011 |
My name is Quinn and I am the
mother of the Quinn kittens. I did a great job raising my babies but
it has come time for me to find a home of my own. I am a very laid
back girl and would do fine by myself or with another cat in the
home. I am hoping to find my forever home very soon so when you come
to the shelter ask to see Quinn!

Ramon - Male - 3 years
I've been here since February, 2011 |
I was rescued with Doris
and my 5 kittens from deplorable conditions. When I first
arrived at the shelter, my white fur looked brown and my ears needed
a thorough cleaning. When I was put in a large cage to recuperate,
for the first time in a long time, I felt content, safe and grateful
for a steady supply of food, water, litter and warm bedding. Ok, so
I wasn’t the best looking guy when I first arrived but my gentleness
won the hearts of many volunteers. I’m a big, quiet (clean) guy who
wouldn’t mind sharing the house with another cat or two as long as I
could get some cuddling time, love and the basics provided to me.
You don’t need a castle, just a warm house with lots of love.

Salt - Female - 1 year
I've been here since December, 2010 |
Hello, it is I, Salt. I came
here with my sister Pepper and no, we are not the musical group Salt
and Pepper, so don't even ask. I can be startled at times
but I am learning to trust humans again. I hope you will come and
see me soon!

Snowdrop - female - 1 year
I've been here since July, 2011 |
Snowdrop, Teardrop & Raindrop – We have
different names for different purrsonalitites. Teardrop is
still adjusting to being at the shelter and right now is the least
outgoing of the bunch. Raindrop is extremely affectionate
and Snowdrop is friendly but still adjusting. We were all
rescued from Oak Hill area in Fitchburg by a kind shelter supporter
who fed and cared for us until the shelter could take us in. More
updates to follow as our purrsonalities develop. . .
