SHELTER  ADOPTION HOURS: Once we receive your adoption form, our procedure is to confirm your references and contact you by e-mail and telephone message with shelter directions and adoption hours.

I'm looking for YOU to come and take me home!

We have a tremendous selection of cats and kittens of all shapes, sizes and breeds.  You are certain to find the kitty who is purrfect for you at the shelter.

Check out this beautiful slideshow of all the sweet souls at the shelter who are waiting for forever homes... Photographed and created by our fantastic Volunteer Uli.

All of our cats/kittens are fixed, tested for FeLV/FIV, wormed, micro-chipped and treated with Advantage so that our shelter remains flea free, receive rabies and distemper shots and are treated for ear mites, if necessary.

If you have an interest in adopting from our shelter then please read our Adoption Policies.  If you agree with the policies, click here to fill out our online adoption form to get the process started.

We always respond first to the people who fill out the online adoption form. The comment section on the form is the place to put your individual questions and any specific preferences.

Our adoption fees are $110.00 for adults up to 5 years, cats 9 years and older are part of our seniors for seniors program and are only $5.00. $135.00 for kittens up to 1 year, exotic kittens and cats $160, purebred kittens and cats $250

The web site does not give out exact directions to the shelter, just an area map.  When we set up our adoption time with you, we will email you specific directions to the shelter.

Trix - female - 5 years
I've been here since July, 2012
Hi, I'm Trix and I recently arrived here from my foster home. I don't know why they put me in a room full of cats 'cuz I'm just a furry purrson. What, I'm a cat? Oh, well one of me is enough and I really don't want to share the limelight with another cat. You've probably guess that I can be independent but that doesn't mean I don't need you. I still need staff to feed and scoop me and give me some special attention now and then. I think I'd be fine with a dog as well.

Christmas Adoption Policy

For all parents whose children have been asking for a new kitten on Christmas day, we want to let you know that we do not adopt kittens in the ten day period before Christmas and we do not adopt kittens under 5 months of age singly, only in pairs. We believe this policy avoids putting the cat/kitten in a temporary 'hiding place' that stresses them greatly and then introducing them into the household on a hectic and noisy Christmas morning. Family introductions need to be done during a time of relative quiet and peace. A kitten/cat is not a toy but a live creature that must be planned for.

But -- Please fill out our online adoption form NOW to get the process started.   You'll be approved before Christmas and we can set up an appointment for the day after Christmas or a time that is most convenient for you and your family.

We make ourselves available the day after Christmas and during that week after so you can bring your children to the shelter and let the child and cat discover each other.  This will enable you to pick out a cat/kitten that is not terrified of children.

We suggest that you wrap up kitty items such as a feeding bowl, litter box and cat toys.  Include a note in the middle of all these items telling your child that the real Christmas present is a trip to the shelter to pick out their very own kittens or their cat.

We have created Wish Lists on Amazon.com and WalMart.com!
